Greek Ship released after $6million ransom paid

In ongoing difficulties in the area a Greek owned, Cypriot  registered vessel, the MV Eagle has been released.  The vessel which had a crew of 24 on board were held by the Pirates in Somalian waters./p>

It is reported (http://bit.ly/klyMIE ) on the website http://www.arabianbusiness.com that Piracy is now operating at a level that it is effecting insurance prices and, in turn, the cost of commodities. It is costing some €12 billion per year.

Currently the Pirates are holding another 11 Fishing Vessels captive.
